Want to get away from the busy city? Tired from hearing all the sirens, cars, and construction noises? Want to absorb the sun and enjoy the calm and beauty of our nature?
Then La Mauricie National Park, Quebec is the sweet escape for you. Head out with your favorite peeps to the forest and spend the weekend there exploring. So here are some tips on what to do and what to take with you.
What to do:

2- Rent a car
3- Buy groceries and equipments that you need for the camp
4- When you arive to the National Park there’s an information desk you have to stop at and check in
5- Then drive few minutes until you reach a parking lot and then carry your items and walk 5 minutes until you reach a canoe-rental place
(Canoe fits 2 people and the equipments and bags or 3 people with nothing else)
6- As soon as you reach the campsite prepare the tent and start a fire
Take into consideration that :
1- There’s a fire place ( they provide you with wood at the campsite)
2- There’s a toilet ( but you need to get your toilet paper)
What to take with you :
1- Sleeping Bag
6- Hiking shoes
7- Personal medication
12-Small Pillow ( optional)
13- Phone Charger with battery
16- Bunsen burner
23- Waterproof bag ( you’ll carry your stuff by canoe)
24- Tops and Shorts
27-Lanterns ( Battery )
28- Extra batteries
29- Camping Chairs ( Hammocks are a hassle to carry)
30- First Aid Kit
32- Snack, Water, and Drinks ( Alcohol, Mixers, Coffe or Tea)
33- Food like hot dog or tuna sandwiches (that do not require a cooling box )
34- Platic forks,knives, plates, cups
35- Anti-Mosquito ( A MUST!)
Keep the map with you at all times to get around with your canoe , go hiking, discover hidden waterfalls, sand beaches, and different lakes. There isn’t any reception there so you have no excuse but to disconnect yourself from your busy life and enjoy your weekend to the fullest.
